Why locals love it
One of the more extreme exercise routes in Tbilsi, this is how people without a car get to Mtatsminda when the funicular isn't working. Also a common place for people to adventure and walk their dogs when they can't get out of the city.
Why you should visit it
If you're feeling like a real mountain hike and you can't get out of town, then take one of the few trails that wind their way up Mtastminda, taking you to the absolute in best views of the city. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Kazbegi.
Special tip
Bring your hiking shoes and lots of water, it's not easy but it is rewarding.
