Hi, my friend and I have just booked a trip to Tbilisi around the New Year.
Looking now for a restaurant/bar/pub to strart the year in a good company. Any recommendations or alternative ideas as to how to spend the NY night in Tbilisi are most welcome :)

Thanks,
Katya

Hello Katya,
You can visit Hard Rock Cafe here in Tbilisi and enjoy one of the Georgian rock bands. Here is a link: http://www.hardrock.com/cafes/tbilisi/

Also there are many pubs in Akhvlediani street (which is near Rustaveli Avenue) with live music

Thanks a bunch for the recommendations! Loud music is okay as long as it is live :)

Any particular place that you could recommend for the new year celebration? Or maybe there' s a website or blog where I could check out the programmes?

(Sorry for bombarding you with questions)

No problem, it does not bother me to answer :) but referring New Year, honestly I am not sure there are any programmes so early in advance... I think they will appear close to 31 Dec. I have never celebrated NY in bars, so can't be helpful :(

Well you might like this one with live music https://m.facebook.com/Zazanova/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=1
Also I would say that almost all bars with live music are quite loud :)

Hello, Katya. What are your preferences? What kind of atmosphere is appealing to you?

Hey :) really open to suggestions, but maybe a few pointers:

- we are people of simple pleasures: genuinely appreciate good food, drinks and music
- not the biggest fans of very loud music, prefer bars over clubs ans jazz/blues/rock over techno
- we are around 30, so not teenagers anymore :)
