How to go from Tbilisi to Kutaisi

How to go from Tbilisi to Kutaisi ?
And from Kutaisi to Mestia and then to Batumi? Is there any public transport? Taking in consideration that I will have luggage because I will stay one or 2 nights in each city.
And what's the price of the transfers? And if not, how much should I pay for a private taxi for each destination? Thanks

There are many options. You can hire a taxi to take you there for about 130 to 150 lari. Or there are several bus companies that go to Kutaisi. Are you going to Kutaisi or the Airport? The Airport is actually quite far from Kutaisi and if that is where you are going you want to make sure the get a bus that goes there. Metro had a bus that goes to Batumi and stops at the airport for 15 lari but I am not sure they go anymore (which would be a pity since they are the best buses in Georgia). Georgian Bus has a route to the airport but charges more, 20 lari, and is not nearly as nice as Metro. There are other routes as well.

Hello Hala,

You can take a train, marshrutka (minibus), bus or taxi.

You can book railway tickets here:
http://tickets.railway.ge/login.aspx?lang=en-US

Bus and minibus tickets will cost you from 10 to 20 Gel.
Taxi is the most expensive option among those. Prices vary from 100 GEL and higher. So, it's up to your preferences whether to choose.

Hala,

to travel from Tbilisi to Kutaisi you can choose between the Bus (http://geometro.ge/en/home), Minibus (Marshrutka) and the RW (http://tickets.railway.ge/login.aspx?lang=en-US).

traveling to Mestia is better to ask a local travel agency. you can check in the internet a lot of them.

Taxi prices you can handle with the driver personally. It will be not more than GEL100 per trip.

Tbilisi - KuTaisi you can take a train, especially if you have a luggage with you.
Departure from Tbilisi 8:55 Arrival 14:18
Departure from Tbilisi 12:15 Arrival 17:40

Another option would be a mini-bus (marshutka) , but not very comfortable.

Kutaisi - Mestia , a mini-bus or a taxi.

Mestia - Batumi (via Zugdidi) Mini-bus.

Are you already in Georgia? Did you tried to visit tourist information centres? On Freedom square you can find one and they can give you all the information.
