The city-museum of Mtskheta was the capital of the kingdom of Kartli from 4 BC to 6 AD. It’s one of the oldest cities in Georgia and in all of Europe. It’s the place where Georgians accepted Christianity as a major religion in 326.

The first church was built here in the 6th century. The ruins of the old church are visible in the interior of the cathedral, under glass flooring.

Our last stop will be Uflistsikhe. Uflistsikhe is one of the ancient rock-hewn town and interesting place for turists in Georgia. Complex starts life in VI-IV centuries BC, there is also museum at the place, where you can find ancient artifacts from all over the world. Amazing people!
Mari, amazing guide... Polite... Positive... Knowledgable Person... Explained each and everything about Mtskheta & Georgian Culture as a whole. Lived the Georgian tale! Great Experience!
A very good trip with a very nice company
This tour to Mtskheta was an amazing experience - Mari is a very knowledgeable guide, her eyes shine when she talks about Georgia and history, and this is what we value a lot when travelling abroad. We made a private tour in a very comfortable mini-bus with her and Michail - a cool driver, who can also tell a lot about local life. The tour is perfect for half of the day, the old capital and its sights are gorgeous, not far from Tbilisi. so you will not get tired. I highly recommend to book it.
Best tours in Georgia
Excellent service from extraordinary people...One of the best experience. It was more of roaming around with friends in Georgia instead of a guide. We have made some very good friends in Georgia for life. Levan, Mary, Misha & our Beard hulk....thank you for such a beautiful time.
