I’ll take you to the scenic and delicious Kakheti region in the eastern part of Georgia.
During the tour we’ll stop in Signagi, the beautiful ‘City of Love’, overlooking the famous Alazani Valley and the Greater Caucasus mountain range. We’ll then visit the Bodbe Monastery, a historical Orthodox Christian complex with beautiful gardens and churches.
Next, we’ll stop in a village of bread makers. You’ll see how traditional bread is baked, and taste a fresh slice with famous Kakhetian cheese. We'll also visit the village that produces best churchkhelas, also known as ‘the Georgian Snickers’.
Finally, we’ll admire the thrilling beauty of the David Gareja cave monastery on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. If you wish, you can hike to the top of the hills to see the frescoes of old abandoned monasteries, and enjoy the view of the setting sun above Azerbaijan.
