As a resident expat in Tbilisi I joined Kristi's tour to discover some of the deeper gems of Tbilisi. Though we did visit many surface toursit highlights, Kristi was also able to share with me a handful of places and legends I had not known. Kristi is positive, passionate, and genuine. This tour will first take you along narrow old streets to the place where Tbilisi was founded. We’ll tell you about the history of Georgia, Tbilisi, and its sights, as well as about the wonderful cuisine of Georgia. We’ll also visit an area that was on the Silk Road (the trade and craft district), and see the old city walls.
Sights include: the Dadiani Palace, a Caravanserai, the Abo Tbileli Church, old Italian courtyards, the Kashveti Church, Shardeni Street (the trade and crafts district), Abanotubani (the sulphur baths district), the Legvtakhevi waterfall, Narikala Fortress, the Sameba Cathedral, the Metekhi Temple, Kartlis Deda (the Mother of Georgia monument), the Sioni Cathedral, Rike Park, and many others.
