Excursion to Ananuri castle and Stepantsminda – Kazbegi. We provide whole day trip in Stepantsminda - Kazbegi by comfortable mini van and experienced, friendly driver and guide.
Day trip starts in Tbilisi in Your hotel and our route continues to Kazbegi city. On the road we will visit to Jinvali water reservoir, which is a townlet in Georgia and it has one of the largest hydroelectric power stations in Georgia; Ananuri castle which was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles;
After that we will drive to Kazbegi and visit the Gergety trinity church which dates back to 14th century and ancient wall carvings are well-preserved on the facade of the church. The church is located under the magnificent peak of Mount Kazbegi, the third highest in Georgia at elevation of 5,033 meters above sea level. Then we will drive back to Tbilisi with the amazing impressions.
