Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia, city which was founded in 5th century just on the place of Hot Sulfur Springs is a place where you can find impressive buildings, built in modern styles, huge, massive monuments, standing next to old –rare buildings, the ones which were built I the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries.
“Art Nuvo” – the style which was so popular in Saint-Petersburg and Riga, was brought to Tbilisi by Germans, under the name “Jugendstil”. In the XVI-XVII centuries, Tbilisi was a “pearl” of Caucasus, the biggest city in the area, a place which was attracting members of all civilizations. And what do you think? Who was living here?Of course all these people, they were building all these things, they were defending the city, and their descendants are living here till nowadays.
Tbilisi is a place, where all kinds of people were dealing with each other. They were living together and they started a tradition of “Tbiliseli” (‘’The one who was born in Tbilisi”) and this was a basic element of Georgian culture after the XVI century.
