Why locals love it
Florentin is an old Tel Aviv neighbourhood built by immigrants from Greece. A dingy hole several decades ago, now it is a hipster area full of street art, cafes, eateries, bars, galleries, old shops, music and bustling with youth and joy.

Why you should visit it
If you have a chance, book a private tour with somebody who knows and loves the place. Or simply walk along the streets, looking at the houses, imagine how people lived there many years ago. Drop by the stores - old and new, hangout in cafes, eat hummus and have your photo taken next to every street art piece - the walls are amazing there!

If you are in Tel Aviv during Purim, a spring festival, make sure you get to Florentin and take part in street parties! Don't forget to wear a costume
