Museum of Byzantine Culture is placed near the town's City Hall in a building built between 1989 - 1993. There is a great building designed by Kuriakos Krokos and won the Council of Europe's Museums Prize in 2005. It has been declared as a Historic Landmark by Ministry of Culture too. The museum currently has 3 permanent exchibitions.
Why you should visit it
Because they way that you can see the exchibitions is very unusuall. Architect made a certain path that you have to follow as you walk inside the exchibition. The strange thing is that you don't have to walk around all rooms but along the way you can leave some of them.. Each rooms has a collection of things about a certain chronological period.
Special tip
There is a great restaurant in the museum that offers great food and coffee. It is state of the art.
