Heya! What's the best way to get from the Thessaloniki Airport to Athitos? Is it possible to go straight with one bus or do I have to go to KTEL MAKEDONIA first and then catch a bus? Thanks in advance for some info!

To clarify some things, KTEL Chalkidikis and KTEL Makedonia is two different things, and there aren’t in the same roof.
Visit the official site which Georgia provided and on the contact tab see the map, or just google it on google maps “ΚΤΕΛ Χαλκιδικής Σταθμός Θεσσαλονίκης”

I do not think there is bus going directly to the KTEL Chalkidiki from Airport. The KTEL Chalkidiki is not located at Ktel Macedonia, is after the airport. And you can just go there only by taxi.

Hi! Yes you need to go to Ktel first and catch the relative bus. Otherwise you may arrange a taxi.

Get a taxi from the Airport, it will cost you approx. 10- 15 Euros to KTEL CHALKIDIKIS, not to the other one.

Hallo, No there is No direct bus That get you to athitos. Also be very Care ful. In thessaloniki there are 2 different bus stations. And For you the right one is KTEL Chalkidiki, if you are going to ATHITOS. So When you arrive to the airport you Will take either a taxi (i Would not suggest That is quite expensive, between 10 to 20 euros, but you can ask them at the time how much the want to get you there ) or the bus number 01X if its Day or 01N if its night. Then you stop at 25th Martiou (its the 4th stop). From there you Will pass the road and Go to the oposite direction and wait to the stop With the same name 25th Martiou For the bus number 45 or 45A or 45B. When you get one of those you Will stop at the Last stop and there Will be KTEL Chalkidiki. From there you Will get your bus to ATHITOS.

Hi Gosia!! For me, the best way to go in Athitos is with taxi although it is more expensive. The bus that it will take you to Athitos is called KTEL Chalkidikis and the address is 9km Ring Road Thessaloniki-Chalkidikis. To go there from the airport you should change two buses for me is too much of a trouble and you will waste a lot of time waiting (first you take the bus O.A.S.TH. number 79 from Airport Macedonia and you will get off at the Bus Stop Emporiko Kedro IKEA and then take the bus O.A.S.TH. number 36 and you will get off at the Bus Station Ktel Chalkidikis).
So if you want to spend less money and you don't waste an hour changing buses I suggest to take a taxi from the Airport to Ktel Chalkidikis. This will cost approximately 10euros (the cost depends on the traffic, luggage etc you can ask a taxi driver to tell you approximately the cost as well). Check also this website for more details about the buses to Athitos

I hope I helped!

Thank you so much!
We have been to Thessaloniki twice and found that using a taxi https://aktis.taxi/ is the quickest way to get to Afitos. It's worth the extra money if you have it.
