This is the real heart of the city. The cathedral in the middle of the square has been looking over Cluj-Napoca since the 1500. The statue of King Mathias Corvinus marks a well known meeting point for the locals. In and around the square there are banks, shops, restaurants, museums etc.

Get to know the history of the city based on the many historical buildings and events that took place there. The Touristic Info Point is near by, so you can get maps and many usefull informtions. If you are tired of the sights, have a sit at one of the many cafes on Eroilor Boulevard, refill your energy and than venture further.
The squares hosts open air concerts and other cultural events all year round. In winter there is a skating ring here.
