Corner Pocket is a little gem hidden in the narrow alleyways of the charming and beautiful Kagurazaka area. It is run by the very friendly trumpet-player Matsura-san who has been keeping this place jamming for no less than 31 years.

Despite the old-school jazz bar being so tiny that it hardly fits 2 tables and a dusty piles of vintage jazz records, it still has enough room for about 20 (standing) people enjoying the weekly jazz sessions. Our suggestion: take your time, have a glass of something very good and let the unique ambiance send you back in time to the 1980s.
Make sure to ask Matsura-san about the old and new days of the Tokyo jazz scene, and of course, for your favorite record.
