Established in 1880, Kanda Yabusoba has been one of the representative soba (backwheet noodles) restaurants in Japan. Though it was totally rebuild in 2014 due to the fire occured in the previous year, it still conveys the atmosphere of old Japan.

Soba has been one of the popular foods for Tokyoites and this restaurant is one of those handing down the culinary tradition of Tokyo. Located close to Akihabara, you can find some other old restaurants in this small quarter as well. I recommend "tentane (round-shaped shrimp tempura)" and "seiro soba (simple backwheet noodles served cold)".
It's superb to enjoy beer or sake with soba in the afternoon when it's less crowded!
