Kitchen V

Why locals love it

Takadanobaba is a student area that is usually filled with energetic youngsters who take over most of the bars, little restaurants and food joints. However, Kitchen V has a sign on its door that says: “No students, please” and thus aims to cater a more mature and responsible crowd that keeps this place busy on most of the week.

Why you should visit it

The bar has a Spanish twist with tapas better than anywhere on Waseda-dori, reasonably priced wonderful wine, and if you’re lucky, fresh oysters. The friendly owners Ken-san and Shincho-san will prepare delicious food in front of your eyes - a clever concept that will make you hungry for more even after a 3rd round of their amazing tapas.
