The Alatornio Local Museum is located in a two-storey magazine that was used to store loan grain, museum is located next to the Alatornio Church. The old loan grain warehouse was converted for museum use in 1964.
The city center of Tornio is surrounded by extensive countryside, which was once an independent municipality of Alatornio. The museum's exhibition features utility and household artifacts collected from the villages of Alatornio, mainly in the 1960s, about the life and livelihoods of the area.
Open during the Summer on Saturdays.
