Why locals love it
Pello Homeland Museum is located in the center of the village. It was founded in the late 1950s. Mäki House, brought from Konttajärvi, offers access to local history. There is also a smaller so-called stern room and barn. The stern cabin was moved from Nivanpää in 1965.
Why you should visit it
The two-storey granary is from Jolmanpää in the village of Pello, it was donated to the museum in 1979. The oldest history is told by Stone Age objects found in the area. The museum also has a fine collection of lures, among other things.
