Why locals love it

Overrun on busy days, overpriced everyday, overwhelming views, day or night make up for it all. It is the type of place which we love to hate as a local. The massive structure is part of our daily life, at 550 metres tall that is inevitable.

Why you should visit it

While it might seem like nothing more than a typical zombie-tourist found in a guide book - and it is - it soon becomes hard to deny the pull of the massive views.

Special tip

Arrive before sunset and stay for the light show of nightfall.

I've been to many tall towers. They are all pretty much the same. Glass floor, pics overlooking the city, etc. The one unique thing about the CN Tower is the revolving restaurant. 360 degree view of the city as you eat. Pretty spectacular. Go for lunch if you're trying to save a buck because it's not cheap. Plan on at least $100 per person for dinner. However, if you have it to splurge, it's worth it. Food is great. Service is great. View is great. Afterwards you can visit the observation deck and all the other tourist draws of the CN Tower.

Its the tallest building of Canada. There is an 360 degree edge walk - I did it because i was afraid of heights. Its 100% safe.
