East York Civic Centre's Farmers' Market

Why locals love it

The East York Farmer's Market started in the year 2000. It showcases produce from 15 southern Ontario vendors and farmers that sell mushrooms, vegetables, fruit, cheese, sausage, bread, honey and eggs. The products vary from week to week as the growing season changes. The market is open from May until the end of October and runs every Tuesday.

Why you should visit it

If you are looking to pick up some fresh fruit, cheese and bread, this is the place to visit. Prices are very reasonable and the vendors and farmers are the nicest and friendliest people you will meet. You should avoid the large chain grocery stores and buy your produce at this neighbourhood market.
