Hi Deborah! I highly recommend the Peoples Eatery. It’s literally a hop, skip and a jump from Kensington market. If you have foodies, picky eaters and vegetarians in your party I would go here. We had a large party come here but during the week day so call and check ahead of time. The food was incredible. The chef Dustin Gallagher was a finalist on the top chef show - the food shows why. Anyway, check it out!
ooh that's a good one - i didnt know about it - I am going to check it out online now- many thanks!
Strongly recommend King's Cafe on Augusta for an only vegetarian restaurant! Via Mercanti next door is also pretty great but not vegetarian. Free times cafe is a great bar with a large menu on College, and next to it is one of my favourite vegan restaurant in the city, Grasshopper. Hope this helps!
NIce - thank you - I am going through all of these right now ;)
There is a vegan restaurant called Hibiscus which is near by. They close at 9pm on weekends and 6pm on weekdays which will be perfect for your early evening dinner!
Hello! It all depends on what time of day you're going but Kensington is primarily smaller scale spots or very casual (grab at the counter or fast bites). Two ideas would be Trinity Common if it's a weekday and not too too late, it can get a little packed but the food is great. And http://www.pizzeriaviamercanti.ca would be a great idea if you want Italian and a good space.
italian is good - I am going to look at this too - you can't go wrong with this - thank you!
I heard about Hibiscus - it sounds lovely - I am going to look at that one too - thank you for helping me!

Kensington Market, but to help you with your search I have found some information in BlogTO about restaurants in that area; http://www.blogto.com/search/?offset=0&ordering=relevancy&q=Kensington%20market%20restaurants
