This park is like the city's backyard all summer long. There is sun and shade, bike paths, tennis, baseball, skating, an off-leash dog park, and plenty of space to picnic. On hot days you will see hundreds of locals enjoying the fresh air, drinking, eating, drumming, slack-lining, and heaven knows what else. The place is full of life.

You can come and see what locals in Toronto's west end really do with their time. It is nice to socialize, people watch, suntan, or play sports. The south end of the park is host to great shopping and restaurants on Queen Street, so even grabbing take out and having you own picnic is an option.
Typically in Canada you can't drink in public, but here it is generally acceptable. Just be decent, and be discreet.
