Why locals love it
Polaria is one of the best museums in Tromsø. The reason why locals love it is simple - the seals! You don't only see them from above, but can also walk in underwater tunnels and look how the seals swim over your head. You can almost touch them and they are great at posing for selfies.

Why you should visit it
The seals are not the only thing to discover. The first attraction when entering the museum is a film about the northern lights and Svalbard. Following the film, there is an exhibition on the arctic region and its environment. Also, check out the many arctic fish species in the aquarium - some of the are really funny!

Try to be there when they are feeding the seals! You can check the time schedule on their website. You'll be surprised about how smart the seals are.
