Why locals love it
This architectural compound is a 2000 years mix of Piedmontese history. It was erected by Romans as a Porta Decumana for a defensive function and then used as residence of the Royal House of the Savoy family. It was embellished with a great facade by Filippo Juvarra, the first architect of the Savoy Family XVII century.
