About me:

I’m Stefan and what I like most is traveling. My mother says that I was born with a backpack, (hopefully) just a joke :).
But the more I see this world, the more I like Bucharest, my home town. It’s a complex and crazy city, that is for sure worthy to be discovered. Days after joining my first free tour (in Amsterdam), me and a couple of friends started our own free tour in Bucharest, that you are welcomed to join! Read more

My passions are:

  • Wildlife
  • Legos
  • Beer

I have travelled to: To almost all around Romania and Europe.I've had 4 big, 1 month long trips that completely changed my point of view: Kenya, Peru, India, Vietnam & Cambodia.

My idea of a great trip is: My perfect holiday would be at least one month long. Is the only way to completely forget about the stress and worries back home and to really understand a new culture.Basic planning before then, booking just the first night of accommodation. After that, just go with the flow and decide on the spot.In the same time, it should be a good mix between culture and nature.

I love my city because: Its just on the edge to get a truly touristic city.Is yet very basic and undiscovered and this makes locals really friendly with tourists and will gladly help you whenever possible. In the same time, there are a lot of great things to see, making an ideal place for tourists focus to discover new horizons. Like Start Trek SF movie was saying "to boldly go where none has gone before !".For me, the most fascinating is the contrast between old medieval architecture and Communist era monumental buildings. Or between large green spaces in city's parks and the busy nightlife in the old city.

A wonderful few hours
for Stefan’s tour (Bucharest Free Walking Tour)
Alex led a comprehensive walking tour of the old city. He gave us plethora of information regarding past and present history of Bucharest. We also had an overview of Romania.
very disappointing !
for Stefan’s tour (Bucharest Free Walking Tour)
I sent a mail asking to book myself and my friend to the free walking tour. I got a mail from you saying that you confirm receipt of my mail but the local guide should come back to me with confirmation about the availability. He never did it. Even not to say that the tour is full. I sent a second mail a few days before my arrival to Bucharest and till today, I never got any answer from him. So, I took a guide from the hotel where I stood and paid a lot of money for the tour. It was really disappointing. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share that with you. Kind regards
Great intro to Bucharest

Very motivated and knowledgeable guides. Only gripe is some of the lady guides are just too attractive and distract from the surroundings you should be paying attention too.

Although Bucharest is where the money make Romania go round, there are still a couple of great things to do even for free. Parks, churches, a tour (guided Bucharest free tours), some museums (The Jewish Museum and the Commu...
