At the end of the last century the University of Utrecht moved from the inner city to the Uithof in the north of Utrecht. At the same time a new botanic garden was created following a new design. This is really a beautiful and quit garden. It consists of 5 different gardens and greenhouses.

Why you should visit it
This is a recent (1987) designed garden around an old fortress. It's very quiet and beautiful.
Special tip
There are guided tours and special events. And there is also nice restaurant.
