The Open Sky Museum is one of the first expressions of street art in Valparaíso. It begins in 1969 when an art professor started a project with his students to paint murals around Valparaíso. The museum now are 20 murals from famous Chilean painters like Roberto Matta and Nemesio Antúnez all around Bellavista Hill.
Unfortunately, a few of the murals are in a bad condition do to vandalism, but there are people working to collect the money to be able to restore it. Never the less, is a great walk through Bellavista Hill and because of the museum, now the neighborhood is full murals, colours and mosaics with a panoramic view of the city.
Going up the hill on Ferrari street, you will see an incredible mosaic work with the Nobel price Gabriela Mistral as a theme.
