Best South East Asian restaurant in town

Hawker's Delight

Why locals love it

This hole-in-the-wall place has been around as far as I can remember. As a native of Indonesia, I did not find an Indonesian restaurant that I really like in Vancouver. However, Hawker's Delight always hit the spot when I'm craving for South East Asian food. Don't expect a fancy restaurant setting, but go there for the food!

Why you should visit it

Everything is cheap here! A few of my favourite things on the menu are the fried tofu with peanut sauce, mee pok and well, nasi goreng ( it's means fried rice in Indonesian/ Malaysian). Try also their vegetable fritter (they don't always make it). They close on Sunday lunch I think.

Special tip

This restaurant is nested on Main Street, there are a lot of small stores selling interesting things.
