Why locals love it
Well, if you like Japanese food and want to skip just your same ol' sushi and teriyaki, you should come here. Izakaya translates into "tapas" in Spanish, so combine the two and "Japanese Tapas" sounds quite appetizing to me! Expect non-traditional Japanese combination e.g. cheese and fish.
Why you should visit it
Although there are many others "izakayas" in town, this one is my favourite, plus if you want to save $$, they have a more affordable lunch menu. The picture with this posting is their special deluxe bento box, and these boxes do sell out fast. Come on a weekday if you can!
Special tip
Come early and get their deluxe bento box on the lunch menu. If you are familiar with the terms, it's more like a casual kaiseki than bento.
