Take walk in the
rainforest in the
Pacific Spirit Regional Park0
Why locals love it
There are not many places you can walk through the rainforest in a major city. Pacific Spirit in one of them. This 763-hectare park offers walking, biking, and horseback riding trails through a towering forest of native evergreen trees and the foreshore of the University of BC.
Why you should visit it
The trails are well signed and maintained. With over 50 kilometers of trails, you can pass through a variety of ecosystems; including beaches, streams, wetlands, and meadows. Take a close look and you may see a new tree rising from the remains of old growth trees felled decades ago.
You can reach the trails by public transit. Bus 41 UBC and 25 UBC
