Vancouver has a worldly culinary scene. Share some injera at one of many Ethiopian joints on the Drive, grab some sustainable seafood on Main, or treat yourself to award winning plates in Gastown. And don't forget your sushi.

There are so many fun events. The Nerd Trivia Night (usually, on the first or second Wednesday of the month) is fun. They don't advertise it, so call ahead (other special events, like Game of Thrones screenings, are also common). Again, call ahead. The food is vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Vegan, and meat friendly. Everyone is happy at StormCrow!

It's a quick place to stop for a meal and/or drink on the Drive. There's also a patio (which are pretty hard to find in the city), and a fairly high turnover of tables. It's also open a bit later than most places on the drive.

There are a variety of events, and there is something here for everyone (be sure check ahead so you're not accidentally attending an event that is not your thing). Also, with a diverse, and delicious, vegetarian menu (with gluten-free and vegan options), there's something here for everyone; even meat-eaters will be satisfied. There's a kid section

Well you have to eat, right? Right. You should have a beer, right? Double right. Then put on your walking shoes or hail a cab to this side of Vancouver. The menu changes, and if a beer runs out, don't worry they have an equally good back up. Also, it is one of the few places that serves up Storm Brewing's Flanders Red. One of the best beers ever.

It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the wander. You should visit this restaurant if you are vegetarian/vegan and don't want to get the standard tofu bowl for dinner. It is possible you will have never tried anything on their menu before.

The Naam, in addition to being delicious, is also historic: it is one of the first veg restaurants opened in Kits, and it is probably one of the oldest in Vancouver. The menus include a lot of history about the role it has played in shaping the neighbourhood/community.

It's a great place to stop by if you're passing by. They have a good menu which is pretty diverse. (They have options that are gluten and vegan friendly) They also have a good selection of local beer and wine if you're into that as well! I would suggest stopping by here on a sunny afternoon/early evening to enjoy local musicians in the square.

Three words. Beer. Bourbon. Bacon. At Devil's Elbow, you can order those three Bs in flight form and boy is it a treat. More so if you like meat, of course! Prices are decent, the beer is local, and the staff is among the friendliest in town. I love my visits to Devil's Elbow, and not just because of the bahn mi!

Some of the city's most well-known Italian restaurants, cafes and grocers are on Commercial drive. Though it's known as Vancouver's 'little Italy, the Drive has more than enough diversity to go around. If you're into great food, relaxed atmosphere and locals then the Drive is for you.
