Well, there is a whole bunch of Asian people in Vancouver, and that night market is frequented by both locals and tourists. It's a miniature version of a Taiwanese night market. From delicious Chinese, Taiwanese, miscellaneous Asian-inspired stalls, there is lots of delicious (and unusual) food. Lots of also random vendor selling things.
Well, to be honest, Taiwanese night markets in Taiwan would be a little bit nicer, but if you are around, it's definitely worth checking. My Taiwanese friends said that it is not bad, and they do visit this Richmond night market). They have also a cute gigantic duck balloon by the entrance.
That place gets really busy later at night, come early and or on weekdays for less crowd. Keep in mind that it's not that cheap to eat there.
