Why locals love it

This is one of the few paved, longer, bike trails in North Vancouver (also making it more accessible than other trails). Longboards, rollerblades, roller skaters and walkers are all welcome. There's lots to see on the trail.

Why you should visit it

There are not too many trails this long, and this well-maintained, on the North Shore. Also, most of them are not this bike friendly (at least, if you do not fancy mountain biking). This is a great opportunity to get out for a day, and travel on a more "beginner" trail.

Special tip

Check out geocaching.com for an awesome GPS treasure hunt in the area.

note - the picture is of Rice Lake (which is not a bike friendly area of the trail, but it is a nice short walk off of the trail).

Check opening/closing times - it is generally open from dawn to dusk, but they lock you inside of the park after. You do not want to be stuck on a mountain.
