If you can't afford a fancy dinner cruise, this is a great way to see the city (you'll see some locals going to/from work with their bikes), and a fun way to get around. It's a great way to see a lot in a very short amount of time (notably, if you only have a few days in the city, and no car). Plus, who doesn't love boats?

It's a great hike to the bridge and beyond. Past the suspension bridge, you will come across a 30-ft natural pool and a waterfall. It is also an entry point to the Baden Powell Trail which is an extensive trail that connects all the parks in the North Shore mountains. You can also make a detour to the Rice lake and maybe go fishing there.

Perfectly situated in the middle of the downtown-core, the Vancouver Art Gallery is a great way to spend a couple of hours during your time in the city. They even have their own cafe that has an awesome outdoor patio where you can enjoy some really good food and drink. This is a popular spot for locals and business folk on their lunch breaks!

If you've got a bit of time in Vancouver (it will take time to find the jumps, and to get to them - notably, if you don't have a car), this can be a great way to spend a summer afternoon. Locations of the cliffs will be posted in the comments.

If "climb a mountain" is on your bucket list, this is probably one of the more gentle mountains in the area to climb. You can also do it in 2 hours (max). The views at the top are priceless- you can see all of metro Vancouver on a clear day.

Feeding the bunnies is a great way to meet some friendly rabbits (it's a fairly popular pass-time for Vancouverites, so the bunnies are really friendly), but also to enjoy your trip to the beach. It's easy to visit on your way to/from UBC.

If you come to/live in Vancouver, you should visit either this bridge, or the one at Lynn Canyon. If you have a bit of money to spare, I recommend this bridge over Lynn Canyon; there's quite a lot that it has to offer (many challenges within the park, shows, guided tours, affordable gift shop, ect).

While Vancouverites like to casually jog up mountains, you can elect to walk or jog up this beautiful hike. The hike itself is really lovely, and people of varying fitness levels can all generally enjoy it (unlike some of the other hikes!).

It's a great last-stop on your trip around Stanley Park, and it is also a great place to get some good views of the ocean without the crowds of English Bay. You can come here and be, or really do (as long as you're not obnoxious) anything you want.

Nobody who lives in Vancouver, or who visits Vancouver, can leave without getting a picture with the Laughing Men (yes, you CAN and SHOULD climb them). The beach itself isn't remarkable compared to other Vancouver beaches (aside from the fact that it is easy to get to)... and, there are palm trees. In Canada.

Some of the city's most well-known Italian restaurants, cafes and grocers are on Commercial drive. Though it's known as Vancouver's 'little Italy, the Drive has more than enough diversity to go around. If you're into great food, relaxed atmosphere and locals then the Drive is for you.
