Why locals love it

Locals from Vancouver love bussing, or driving, over to Deep Cove to run up the large hill; Vancouverites love nothing more than fitness, being outside, and delicious food after (food is found in the nearby Deep Cove neighbourhood). The views are awesome. Dog friendly.

Why you should visit it

While Vancouverites like to casually jog up mountains, you can elect to walk or jog up this beautiful hike. The hike itself is really lovely, and people of varying fitness levels can all generally enjoy it (unlike some of the other hikes!).

Special tip

Parking in Deep Cove is hard, but it is not impossible. Keep pushing, and you can do it. You will get a ticket if you park somewhere you shouldn't.

One of the most amazing hikes which leads to a beautiful view point Lookout on-top of a large Boulder overlooking deep Cove and Vancouver. Great to do this early as can get busy during summer. Would have to be semi fit as there is some elevation.

Easy 20-25 min hike, spectacular views at the top. Great places to nosh when you get back down in the community of Deep Cove.

If you have a dog, do not let your dog off the leash at the top of the rock. Apparently, quite a few have perished by falling off.
