The Foundation is notorious for incredibly slow service, but the atmosphere makes the wait worthwhile (and, the wait is really part of the experience). The walls are covered in inspirational quotations, and the food is delicious. It's open late for drinks, and it is a great place to spend an evening with a good friend/friends and a pitcher.
Why you should visit it
The names of the food on the menu, the decor, the staff, and the atmosphere are all really unique, and capture the spirit of East Vancouver. It's a great place to catch up with friends; you'll be waiting forever! But, at least you'll be waiting somewhere nice.

Arrive early. Line ups can go around the corner. Stay late for the bar.
