Why locals love it

In addition to the fact that The Naam is open 24 hours (which is rare in Vancouver), the food is awesome. Even meat eaters tend to enjoy the food here, and the atmosphere is really relaxed. The menu options are diverse, and they are all delicious. You can also spend a great night here with booze and friends.

Why you should visit it

The Naam, in addition to being delicious, is also historic: it is one of the first veg restaurants opened in Kits, and it is probably one of the oldest in Vancouver. The menus include a lot of history about the role it has played in shaping the neighbourhood/community.

Special tip

If you have a large group, and are not paying together, start paying your bill well before you are done the meal. Otherwise, you might wait forever.

It's been years since I went here, so can't speak to the food quality, but it has always been popular with local university students and other progressive types who like eating vegetarian.
