There are no windows going into the Tiki Bar; in fact, you feel like you are entering a new world, and that is part of the appeal. The music doesn't overpower conversation, the cocktails are weird (and, delightful), and some of the food is served on fire/in coconut shells. The artwork is diverse.
It's like stepping into a little piece of Polynesia...except in the middle of a city in the middle of a temperate rainforest (some things are right. other things are not. Those other things are just weird, and therefore worth seeing). The lack of windows is also a delightful way to hide from the rain.
Arrive early. Tables fill up quickly. Also, it is very easy to walk by.
