Why locals love it
It is Vancouver's nude beach -- need I say more? There are not many creeps around, and it attracts really diverse crowds. Families, drum-circling 20-somethings, grandparents, couples, students, professors...everyone loves Wreck! It is accepting, tolerant, and a ton of fun. An afternoon at Wreck will be an afternoon of fun for everyone.
Why you should visit it
From the markets (with really cheap, nice, stuff) to the awesome food/vendors, you will have a good time. You can take a quick dip in the ocean in the summer, and return to suntanning (as clothed, or as un-clothed, as you want). You can also meet some really interesting people. Awesome community, and interesting heritage.
Special tip
425+ stairs to get down, and make sure to look at a map. Bring cash in case you want to buy something. No pictures of people, please!
