Halavasepikä's Trail
Why locals love it
The Trail introduces the Mätäoja wetland area and its unique geological history of the Vantaa River. In addition to nature sites, the trail introduces some of its prehistoric and historical sites to its vicinity. The area has been inhabited since the early Stone Age. The Trail is 3 kilometers long, and most of it runs along light traffic routes.
Why you should visit it
The Vantaa City Museum, the Green Space Unit, the Environment Center and the City History Committee have participated in the implementation of the trail. The tail is apart of the Vantaa Ponds and Rivers theme year 2016 program.
Special tip
Nature destination, Summer destination. 3 km walking, good shoes needed! The map of the trail can be opened from the Jatka Palveluun.
