Founded, by the Finnish Painters 'Union, in 1998 the Painters' Museum was established to record objects and traditions of the painting industry. It is important for the development and preservation of the painter's profession to collect and retain material for future practitioners, those working in the field, students and the public.
The Painters' Museum exhibitions hold documents, paint stains, painting tools, color charts, and all other information about painting workshops and contracting. The museum has received eg a comprehensive collection of artifacts and documents from different ages as a donation from various paint shops and paint factories.
The Painters' Museum is grateful for old used items, information, documents, color maps, and funny stories. Tours need to be reserved.
