In the Helsinki area there is a lot of defense equipment built by the Russians during the First World War (1914‒1918). The fortification structures are located in three zones on the mainland and protected Helsinki and the Viapori. Today, there are fortifications on the land front in the Helsinki metropolitan area in the Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa.
Terrain is really rocky, good shoes are required. Be careful on the site, trenches are some places pretty deep, danger to fall is possible.
