Why locals love it
The history of Tikkurila's Color Paint Factory began in the 1860s. In 1919 the Paint factory as enlarged with a new paint and lacquer factory. Over the years, the oil press developed into the current Tikkurila Oy Group. The factories are still operating in the Tikkurila area.
Why you should visit it
The operations of the Paint Factory were finally transferred to the south of Keravanjoki in the late 1980s, when the old factory buildings opposite Tikkurila's station were sold. Today, the old factory is home to business and residential buildings.

Industrial History. The area is a home of number of endangered or other butterfly species. Keep your eyes open!
