Why you should visit it

At its widest, the factory included weaving, dyeing, printing, observation, packaging and office. The days of Tikkurila's silk were in the mid-1950s, employing over 700 people. Most of the employees were women. In the early stages, the factory's product range consisted mainly of fashion fabrics, such as women clothing and house hold fabrics.

Special tip

Despite its name, the factory never produced silk but mixed fabrics. Today, the factory has multicultural activity center and dance opportunities.
