Why locals love it
On the west side of the Veini's mill, the yellow-painted house is Villa Söderbo, the house belongs Ernst Söderling family. It was completed in 1939. The mill also had a mill office at the time.Ernst Söderling died in 1956, the mill stopped working. The town bought the plot in 1988. Nowadays the Mill is a summer café.
Why you should visit it
Nearby area of the mill is known as a home of a noteworthy butterfly species, the Silver Poppy (Ectoedemia turbidella). The species is very endangered and its occurrences are known only from a few in Finland.
