Is it possible to use ''monopattino electrico'' in Venise?
(6 answers)My partner and I, are going to spend a month in Venise (Castello) and we have an electric scooter which we would like to take with us but we are not sure they are actually allowed. If they are allowed, is it everywhere or only in certain areas?
Thanks a lot for your help :)
Regards
Fanny

Dear Fanny, what a great experience you're going to live! Castello Venetians'Venice district!
I'm afraid I must confirm the answers below about the monopattino.
Nevertheless, it's a good and allowed means of transport on the islands of Lido and of Sant'Erasmo and since you're staying in Venice for a month it's definitely something to put on you must-do list!

Ciao Fanny,
Really glad to hear that someone is going to Venice.
Unfortunately I don’t think it is possible to use anything like an electric scooter, and even if it was allowed it would be totally useless due to the ground, Venice is totally made of irregular stones and the only way to move is walking or using the public transport.

Hi! Scooters, bicycles or anything on wheels are not allowed. You will see people use them, but it's at your own risk and other's people safety. The city is not a good place for using wheels. Police can fine you in the city of Venice. You are allowed to use them in Mestre or Lido.
Ho Fanny! Unfortunately it's not allowed. You can use just in Mestre and Lido (beach). Of you need a photographer please let me know.
Enjoy Venice!
