Great food and views away from tourists
Why locals love it
Spinnaker's is my local -it has a restaurant downstairs (kids allowed) and pub upstairs. Go early for a seat on the heated patio or by a window for wonderful views. Tasty food (some vegetarian & gluten free). Consider walking there from downtown (a lovely walk over the bridge & the waterfront path by the Delta hotel. Taxi home less than $10.
Why you should visit it
Very popular with locals -relaxed, and they brew some delicious craft beer in-house. Also in a lovely heritage (older) building on the water but 20-30 minutes walk from downtown.
Special tip
Try some of the chocolate truffles that they make themselves. Also, the pub patio is more protected and warmer than the downstaIrs restaurant patio.
