Description

Not into the tired double-decker bus tour? Victoria is a beautiful historic city, but it's also been doing some great urban revitalization work. It boasts some beautiful natural spaces, and pleasant middle-class neighbourhoods that are key to the city's identity and that the tour-buses miss.

We'll meet at a popular cafe in an historic building at the edge of downtown, explore parts of Chinatown and the historic waterfront, then head west over the bridge to explore another side of Victoria, including the Dockside Green Eco-district; Bamfield Park; historic and hipster parts of Vic West, and along portions of a cycling and pedestrian trail that run through some of the grittier (but safe) parts of nearby Esquimalt.
