Why locals love it

Unbelievably cheap while being right opposite to the Opera, the place serves traditional Austrian cuisine with nice service and unusual atmosphere. It contains an impressive collection of beer cans which just add up to the general feeling of the restaurant. Very good for either an afternoon beer break, lunch while sightseeing or delicious dinner.

Why you should visit it

A must for beer lovers and anyone who is tired of overpriced touristy restaurants in the centre. A real Austrian feeling, with real Austrian food and beer! Seating outside and inside.

Special tip

Come hungry or thirsty, you will not be disappointed!

A great place with very delicious dishes and close to many central attractions. The prices were genereally decent considering the fact that Vienna is a quite expensive city. However it was outrageous the fact that we paid 6 euros for a bottle of mineral water- unfortunately the water in Vienna was ridiculously expensive!

Great place! Good location and decent prices for being so close to touristy areas. Good beer selection!

Not really that cheap. I had a beer and schnitzel and it cost $26 Euros. Is that cheap for Vienna? Seems like that have a great selection of beer though but the food was average I didn't even finish mine and left most of it.

I agree to everything BUT the first two words! We are a young couple visiting Vienna for the first time and after spending two days in fancy restaurants (approx. 25-30€ per person main dish and salad) we decided to try something in a less expensive place. This place offers the same dishes in the same prices as our first choices. No cheap at all!

Hey hey! Welcome to Vienna! Hm, maybe I should revisit, however, I am pretty much a regular and remember still around September/October (basically a month ago) they had many dishes for around 10 euros (not the Wiener schnitzel, of course, but grostl, kasespatzle, salads, pasta etc all did not exceed ten euros per dish)? There was even a cheaper version of the snitzel for arounf 13 euros. Usually restaurants in the centre that are not tourist traps are much more expensive if one wishes to eat real Austrian food
