It's how it used to be nearly two decades ago. Small family-driven grocery places like this that sell mostly hand-picked quality food and special treats. You do not find them anymore in Vienna. 95% of them died because no one took over and big supermarkets killed them off.

Anyways, go here to find lots of high quality goods and have a nice chat with the owners. You can snack here or shop for gifts as well. When in the neighborhood be sure to checkout the botanical garden and Belvedere just around the corner.
