Why locals love it

Judaism has played an incredibly significant role in the development of Vienna. The Jewish life has been so enriching to Vienna, but the Viennese Jews were forced to leave multiple times. Today, the community is blooming, and the Jewish Museum of Vienna tells the unique Story of the Jews in Vienna.

Why you should visit it

The Museum is great for everyone. They have children friendly sections, including a childrens audioguide, and explain each event presented in a comprehensive manner. The exhibits are always diverse and very interesting, telling stories you have probably never heard before.

Special tip

Finish your trip with a limonana (Israeli lemonade with mint) or some Falafel at the cute Cafe Eskeles, which is a part of the Museum.

Consider changing description from “viennese Jews were forced to leave multiple times” to “were murdered during the Holocaust.”

It's worth going to only for the food at the café. But they also have excellent exhibitions there.
